Enjoy a Concert with an All-Women Norteño Band This Weekend
Join us on Saturday, May 15th at 8:00 pm CDT for our next Mini Concierto with Rimel, a regional Mexican band formed by sisters Letty, Shely, Tita, and Melen. They have performed all over the US and Mexico and have participated in advertising campaigns with well-known brands. Rimel embraces their Mexican-American roots through their music and seeks to create a stronger presence and awareness of women in Norteño music. Enjoy the concert on Facebook or YouTube Live.

Programs for young creative minds!
Amiguit@s Summer Camp
Spaces are still open in summer camp! In Amiguit@s Summer Camp, students will get creative with Museum educators via Zoom as they dive into our Permanent Collection to learn all about Mexican art; create unique works of art with step-by-step instructions; and meet other young artists like themselves. Register by June 11th to receive your art kits with all the supplies needed.

Classes for Youth at Yollocalli
Registration for Yollocalli Arts Reach summer classes is now open! Get weird with the Yollo crew and learn all about photography, street art, or radio broadcasting and get paid while doing it. Classes are in person and virtual for youth ages 13 to 24 years old.

Calling all Latino writers!
The Latino Writers Initiative (LWI) and The National Museum of Mexican Art invite you to a virtual meet-up for Mexican and Latino writers of all levels on Tuesday, May 18th at 5:45 pm CDT. Practice your writing skills with enticing writing prompts and fun exercises that are sure to inspire. Plus, connect with other Latino writers and get feedback on your stories. Join us and be part of the next generation of Latino writers.

Join us this weekend and visit Nuestras Historias: Stories of Mexican Identity from the Permanent Collection from home! We’ll explore Mexican legends, dive into Folk Art, and learn all about Chicago-based Mexican artists. English tours are at 12:00 pm and Spanish tours are at 1:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
