Thank you Dr Romo for this beautiful essay about Pvt Serna. He received the highest awards from France but not from his own country. It reminds me of the saying "you are never a prophet in your own land". I sincerely hope they will reopen his case and award him the Medal of Honor posthumously 100 years after he returned from WWI . I also enjoyed the military murals at Cassiano Homes and Colorado St. and the military photos of Frank Tejeda (Vietnam) and the Jasso Brothers (WWII).

I am a 1967 graduate of FoxTech HS and was a close friend of of Narciso Leos, a fallen hero listed on this wall. RIP
