Dr. Romo, you continue to delight your viewers and followers of our culture with another exposition and tribute to our artisans. The Jorge Rojo exhibit is grand, symbolic and inspiring. As a Mexican historian for many years, I am thoroughly inspired with Rojo's portrait of the Spaniard and Azteca warrior in battle; two cultures, two civilizations engaged in a battle; or rather a clash that continues today. Both armies were well equipped and trained for both conquest and to honor their Gods.

The painting also depicts a right-handed Azteca warrior who appears to have the Spainard subdued...but I wonder if instead the Azteca was instead a left-handed warrior; that advantage would have overcome the conquistador much quicker. I mention this because the Azteca armies did have regiments of only left -handed warriors they utilized to conquer and subdue their native enemies. Kudos and well-wishes to Jorge Rojo; and gracias to Dr. Romo for his heart-felt dedication to the arts and La causa. Abrazos.
