In mid-January 2021 the McNay Art Museum opened an exhibit of Latino prints featuring the works of Richard Duardo, John Valadez, Cesar Martinez, Raul Caracoza, Melanie Cervantes, Juan Miguel Ramos, John Valadez, Barbara Carrasco, and Juan Mora.

I was a youth worker in 1978 at Self-Help Graphics where through a National Endowment for the Humanities grant Sister Karen guided a handful of us youth on how to promote the little known, at that time, "Day of the Dead" among Chicanos in East L.A. It was such a pleasure to be there during this time and to see the amazing prints that came out of there. Michael Amezcua and Linda Vallejo were there full time in those years. Thank you Dr. Romo
