September has been an amazing month for Lanier High School as it celebrated its 100th anniversary on September 13th and followed up by hosting the San Antonio Philharmonic for a Diez y Seis Celebration [September 16].
I had this on my calendar, but couldn't make it. It sounds like it was a marvelous event. I was intrigued by the Columbian Doctorate and his dedication to reach out to people in remote jungle areas. I was glad to see that Teresa Champion was there, indeed a San Antonio treasure.
Very nice and significant story of this year's celebration of Mexico's grito de Independencia. Regrettably, today there is no reason to celebrate our continued freedoms and independence...if only we could vote in the numbers that attend our cultural events...nonetheless, a well done on the event...Mario
